WALK SOFTLY, KEEP A FIRM GRIP ON THAT BIG STICK

And to all a good night!

I have decided that the following requires my comment:

Peace instead of security?

Not a new idea, a very old concept.  If the murderers, thieves and terrorists would only allow us to live in peace and prosperity!  I would support being peacefully armed...bigger, better (and secretly) than the rest of the neighborhood.

Perpetual peace is an unrealistic, futile fantasy.  This idea is constantly proposed by every generation’s  internationally-minded pacifists.  These jellyfish of the world are constantly working to de-fang or completely eliminate  the sheep dogs of our world  (disarming the “policemen on the corner”), while completely ignoring the wolves (leaving the sheep defenseless against attack by the wolves).  The murderers, thieves and terrorists are neither as fair nor as just as the rest of us.  They are just brutal.

I do not condone hunting trouble nor do I advise others to do so.  However, I do regard with horror a state of affairs which would make our country both unready and unwilling to defend itself.  A big club, a big gun, a big dog...whatever is necessary to deter that evil.  And, if necessary, the strength to wield that club, fire that gun, or loose that (war) dog on that miscreant as they attempt to trespass upon ours.  If they did not want to suffer the pain and consequences, they should have remained in their hole.

View war realistically - mass killing.  War is chaos.  The best way to shorten a war is to kill as many of the enemy as possible and as quickly as possible with as few of our own as casualties.  Beat the enemy into submission otherwise they will rise up to attack again.  Make the enemy fear the consequences of any attack they may commit (that is exactly what is being postulated by the enemy).

Leaders are such because they can make truly difficult, even unpleasant decisions when needed without hesitating.  That moment can be truly fleeting.  The enemy is waiting and watching for a flinch...to know if we will face them...to withstand their onslaught, still able to direct our force with sufficient violence and direction to prevent further attempts or to know that we will turn and flee.

How does a leader motivate decent young men raised on the precepts of the sanctity of life, and the immorality of killing to become an efficient cog in a gigantic killing machine.  The method to use, which can succeed on the battlefield, is to trespass on the inherent decency of Americans by training and motivating men to survive by killing others whose task it is to kill them.  Kill or be killed.  Their is no gray.  They want our subjugation.  If that is what the United States will allow,...then we have already lost.

What comments have our enemies made with regard to the United States?

They have stated repeatedly that they view us as a “PAPER TIGER”.  That is that we will NOT follow through to punish those who trespass upon us.  They have used as example almost every publicized conflict since W.W.II.  These have been conflicts within which our opponents have not been beaten into submission.  Draws, withdrawals, allowance of the survival of the enemy (and even allowing them to retain control), everything other than absolute surrender (look at the result of W.W.I...W.W.II).
Think of them ...Korea, Vietnam, Beirut, Iran, Iraq (the 1st Gulf war), Somalia, Khobar Towers - Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, South America.  The middle-eastern conflict has been going on longer than “the Iraq War”.  Just listen to our enemy.  Additionally, Communism is growing again.  Open eyes to Russia, see (the ever-present) China, North Korea is far from capitulating, look at everything that is happening south of our southern border.

They understand only violence and force. Anything less is just weakness.  Weakness is an opening to subjugation and domination. Look to history as to what our enemy has inflicted upon themselves.

Never give up,
never dig in,
always attack,
never let the enemy rest,
never worry about defeat,
think of and plan only for victory,
win by not losing,
We are better in all respects than our enemies, to win, we must know this.  We must have a superiority complex - Always attack.  Never surrender.  The only good enemy is a dead enemy.

Live in peace...but...keep a bigger weapon at hand than that held by your opponent.  Life is violent.  If you are tired of conflict, retire to some corner...just get out of the way - you are weakening our defenses.  The strong survive, the meek inherit only what the strong toss in the way of scraps.

It is truly depressing these days.  When did it become fashionable and mainstream to be a coward?  To boast at being the best at backing up?  Pick a presidential candidate..it seems all of the Democrats are crowing about being better than a rival at cowering to the enemy.  The Republicans aren’t much better.  There are veteran-soldiers who are calling the military murderers and other insults.

The military is just a machine.  Point the machine in a direction, hit the “ON” button, get out of the way.

We have so many opinion polls.  Is the life of the United States comparable to some Hollywood bimbo’s life?  Maybe we need to call Dr. Phil for help.  NO!

The politicians of the technology-driven, video game generation all seem to have decided they are all military leaders.  Apparently, these "armchairs" “know” how to command our team and how to control the field.  They are quick to denigrate every decision made which didn't receive a high rating on the "POLL-O-METER".

Also, I am sad that it seems that we have political leaders that are all too ready to threaten the use of “Military Action”.  I guess it’s that gray area called political power...it rots the brain of intelligence.  Where are the political leaders who know WHEN to talk, WHAT to say and WHEN TO TAKE ACTION.

I don’t understand those who are so willing to take advantage of what is available within the United States then criticize the availability of such.  Such hypocrisy.  The United States is not perfect but is better than the alternative.

Someone commented to me that we have always aired our dirty laundry.  I don’t disagree.  But I do not  understand the enjoyment apparently felt by gloating about every purported misstep.

Rather than just criticizing, how about working to make something that is good even better.

I am of immigrant parents, who fulfilled all that was required to become a part of America.  They left countries dominated by evil...dominated by tyrants and killers.  They can communicate in English fluently.  They are of good moral character with no problems relating to criminal activities.  They have given allegiance to America.  My family lost loved ones during past wars involving tyrants.

We are American because it is worth something more than a dollar sign.  It is something worthy of fighting...defending.

TO ALL...DON’T SELL US OUT!

Sincerely,
A concerned American Citizen
